| of the modifications have already been done, otherwise installation would have been really difficult. As I recall, as it has been awhile since I installed mine, you have to grind down the welds on the shock body such that the red threaded collar will slid over the weld and rest on the original spring perch. You also had to cut some of the bump stop in order to provide clearance for shock travel. Unless it was really a @$%^% install, I really can't see them squeaking and creaking would be caused by them. I just fixed a squeaking issue, but it was related to dry sway bar bushings and a loose adjustment nut on my adjustable upper control arms. Glenn
